I purchased this elsewhere, but decided to comment. I have used this daily for over a year and a half and has never given me problems. It is a lot cooler to the touch after 8 hours of use, while consuming less power of course. Since it is led, it doesn't produce light at the top of it to reflect from my lamp, thus giving it more of a directional light. I would say it is just as bright as the stock 13w daylight bulb I had, but if I had to compare the lumens, I would say it is about 3/4 of the normal bulb. Highly recommended for a good replacement bulb. It has more of a blue hue than the natural daylight bulb it replaced.
