I bought this because I had a switch that controlled a wall outlet. Originally there was a light at the outlet but do to room changes it is now where our TV setup is. Because there were two switches in the switch box, I couldn't just butt the connectors together and close off the hole. To keep the kids from playing with the switch, I bought this tamper proof one. Works great, but keep in mind you need to get a Lev-Lok connector to hook it up (and make sure you buy the correct type of Lev-Lok for this unit). I only give it 4 starts because of the price, If you can buy a light switch for less than a dollar, I don't understand why this switch needs to be $22-24.
