I'll never be happy with SATA cords. They're too loose. I always get the ones with the clips now, which helps. You may not realize that without the metal clips these can work loose just enough to cause data errors. I've had that happen several times on an old Pentium board. The problem may have been the headers on the board, but clips solved the problem.Still, my SATA DVD ROM doesn't fit the cable very well, and has no plastic border for the clip to snap on to, so it works loose. I notice SSDs never have clip borders on their SATA connectors, which makes the metal clips pointless on that end of the cable. Very disappointed in internal device providers.
