Had to do some custom work (knew this in advance--no impact on rating) but the fan itself is almost inaudible over the rest of the system and ambient noise, even at full throttle. The thermal sensor and control knob work flawlessly. So if you need to replace a power supply fan to quiet a unit down (PC Power and Cooling 850 SSI), this will do nicely!
