I have a Silent Flame wood fireplace insert that is about 25 years old and one of the two three speed blower fan motors burned out at the beginning of the season. It continued working on one blower,but with much less output. The next day I went to my local motor distributor to pick up a replacement. Many years ago I had purchased a set of these motors from their shop, but they no longer had them in stock. The only thing they could find from their supplier was a single speed for $90, so I left and visited one other place and they couldn't help me. When I returned home I checked Amazon and found this motor for ~$40 and took a chance and ordered it. As a Prime member I got it in two days, installed it immediately and it has been working ever since with no problems. You wouldn't think that Amazon would stock something like this, but they do, and they ship them fast.

Since then, I did find the original OEM motors at a stove shop in Minnisota, for a whopping $150 each, and that was also amazing that the original motors were still to be had for a defunct stove manufacturer at any cost. So, I will rebuild the stove for next season using the originals, but for this season I will use my Amazon quickie. We are really fortunate to have a company like Amazon and their great Amazon Prime system.
