Xigmatek Computer Case Cooling Fan XLF-F1703 Review

I bought this to place in the bottom of my full size NZXT Phantom, after removeing a stack of 3.5" floor mounted bays. A full size case is very roomy without 2 Large Video cards and fluid cooling. It was dead air space, even with the other fans, filters cut down the cfm being moved in this large case. Xigmatek's XLF-F1703 drawing air from the floor of my case up into the dead air space, lowered Temps on my Tactical tracers by about 2 degrees, or so, across my 4 memory slots. OK,.. its pretty cool looking as well. It also provides light down there, and added WOW with the visual. It's a good fan.

Don't buy this unit unless you're going to use it for a clothsline. That's all it's good for. The connections are loose and it turned my video display into a bunch of scrambled lines. I only gave it one star because zero stars was not on the drop down list. And because it comes from Office/Tech-Depot it's not as easy to return. We replaced all the reading lamps on our motorhome with these bulbs. What we liked was the color of the light, its ‘warm white’ color is close to the original incandescent bulb color, but it doesn’t get hot or use nearly the power. It does get warm to the touch, but the LED is surrounded by heat dissipating fins & after hours of being on, we didn’t notice them getting very hot. Also, they use about ten percent of the energy the incandescent bulbs do. So your batteries barely get drawn down when dry camping. Plus they look very cool!
We did have a problem with one bulb, but the supplier sent us a replacement within hour of reporting the issue. So far very pleased with both the product and the supplier.
