I have a SteelCase Details desk lamp that I thought I was going to have a hard time finding the bulb for. The original was something called a "D Lyra" or at least, that's what was written on the base. I looked everywhere and no one seemed to carry such a thing. Then, I realized that it was just an ordinary compact fluorescent (CFL) with a G23 base. Thank goodness for standards. Locally, no one seemed to have them in stock, so I couldn't confirm the color temperature. I decided to take a chance with the 4100K and I'm glad I did, it's a good reading light. The 9 Watt is a real energy saver and is plenty bright.
