I certainly did not need a hundred of these, and have stripped off the plastic insulation on every single one I have put into use, and covered it with heatshrink instead as I do with 95% of these types of connectors.

The barrels do not have the slice along the side, which is great. My Klein plyer crimpers are not big enough to properly crimp these, but I bought them for use in my hydraulic crimper anyway
