The technology of LED lighting for the household is still in its infancy, although it promises to provide the home owner considerable energy savings.
This particular product is perhaps one of the brightest available, but, beware, its claim of 7 Watts = 100 Watts (of what?) is somewhat optimistic.
I bought five of them for a candelabra in my 'computer/entertainment room' and although the amount of lighting seemed adequate, it was not bright enough. I replaced the center bulb with a 13 Watt CFL (compact fluorescent) and the latter seemed to be a little bit brighter!
I have talked with some in the industry, and they told me the industry is undergoing rapid advance in the home field. Perhaps in 6-12 mos. we might see some progress?
CAUTION: I am not a lighting expert, just a plain user, like everyone else...
