I replaced our old CFL bulbs in our ceiling fan with these new ones while my wife was out of the house one day. When she came back, she walked in, and commented that it was like being in a football stadium -- they are SO bright. To her, it was a negative, but to me, it's fantastic. And over time, I think she's gotten used to the brighter bulbs. Our old CFL bulbs were so dim, it was hard to see.
