I received these bulbs to replace several incandescent bulbs in my malibu outdoor lights. First, the good news: the G4 base fit perfectly, and it was no trouble at all getting them in. The bulbs are durable and easy to handle. OK, so the bad news. They're only 1 watt (roughly the equivalent of a 3-4 watt incandescent), which doesn't give off much light. So they're good for an accent spot, but not good for lighting up a walkway. Also, be aware that these aren't warm white, or even bright white. They're the LED white with the irritating blue-ish tint to them. So if you're trying to match existing lighting, this probably isn't the product for you. But if you're looking for a single local spot to accent, this will work just fine. Plus, the energy savings of dropping your usage by 75% will be noticeable on your next electric bill.
