I have normal T8 florescent 4 ft lighting under my house. The light draws all kinds of insects and mosquitoes. I price yellow T8 bulbs and the were $19 each. Instead of discarding my current bulbs and buying high priced bulbs I decided to give these tubes a try. They work great. The lighting given of is yellow which takes some getting used to, but the area is still well lit and I can see almost as well as with uncovered bulbs. What is different is the great reduction in bugs. No mosquitoes or biting insects, however there are a few bugs that still seem to be attracted even to the yellow lighting. I would estimate a 100% reduction in biting insects and above 80% reduction of all other. I have several family members that liked them so much they have ordered the tubes for lighting at their own house.
