I put 5 of these in a bathroom fixture and they work great. They are instant on, although they warm up and get brighter as time goes by. Really look good. And the 5000K color is perfect for a bathroom--in my opinion, better than than the slightly glarey 6500K and much better than the ugly yellow of 2700K (soft white).
