I read about this bulb in a leading consumer magazine. We recently bought a new home with many R30 cans containing incandescent lighting and wanted to try out a CFL in one of the cans to see how it performed. We found this one to be quite satisfactory: it gives a good amount of light almost instantly when it is first activated. Then, after about 90 seconds to two minutes, it shines with a full brightness that exceeds that of our 65 watt incandescents.

Of note, this bulb is non-dimable. If you don't need dimming, this bulb could be a good choice.
